Please recap your past involvement with the club and say how you became interested in it and its activities. What aspect of the club have you enjoyed or benefited from the most? I’m not sure how I got involved with AOPC, probably through Roger and Bill Patterson. I love the fellowship, the speakers always teach me something, and the outings are fun!
When and why did you first become interested in photography? I was given a camera as a child and loved taking photos and scrapbooking them. Now I love digital when I can see my results immediately. I always say, “I am not a photographer, I just take photos”. I have much to learn!
What areas of photography especially interest you? Why? I have traveled quite a bit and love taking photos when I do. I’m afraid I’m usually so interested in what I am seeing that I don’t get my best shots. Photoshop is my friend! I also love family pictures at family gatherings.
Which areas of Arkansas do you especially like to photograph? Arkansas is full of great scenes to photograph, the lakes, rivers, mountains, all of it!! Even my own backyard has birds, sometimes animals, maybe flowers!
What other interests do you have outside of photography? I am an avid Arkansas Razorback Basketball fan and had season tickets for 30 years, I also love football there and the last couple of years, I have appreciated other U of A sports. I am an active member of the Newcomers Club of Conway and participate in their group activities, mostly Triple Play Canasta. Of course,
I’m always ready to play with great grandkids or to travel with my family, including Christy Ross who is also a member of AOPC.
